About the Film

The Fowler Formula is about the true spirit of motorcycle racing. When racing became more about money than fun, these racers in Portland, OR decided to turn thirty-year-old, rusted junkers into a cheap recipe for thrilling fights to the finish line. But it’s not long before they find that the good times might not last forever.

I created this film in 2009 in a class at NW Documentary, where I’m now a member of the board. Making films is great fun—you should try it.
